You want to feel good about where you work, right? No one wants to get out of bed in the morning and go to a job where they don’t feel accomplished. In the world of manufacturing, sometimes it is hard for employees to see all the accomplishments that are taking place as they work on their specific jobs. For example, an employee on the paint line never gets to see the assembled product or the accountant never gets to touch the actual products they see come through the books. That is why it is recommended that companies take the time to celebrate milestones at the workplace.
In an article on entreprenuer.com, the idea of celebrating in the workplace is said best when it states “Everyone wants to feel that his or her work has a higher purpose. Sometimes, though, that purpose gets lost in the day-to-day grind.” At Micro Metals, we want to take note of this. That is why we have quarterly all staff meetings to get all employees together to show what has been accomplished.
